Flamenco Workshop
Flamenco dancer and teacher Hasya Gibbons will be demonstrating the art of flamenco dance and teaching the fun and festive steps of the Sevillanas, while emphasizing other elements of the art forms such as rhythm and basic fundamentals of the dance for all to participate in.
Hasya Gibbons grew up between Santa Fe New Mexico and Topanga canyon. She started dancing flamenco at the age of 3, born into a world of music and dance with her grandparents Carlos Lomas, a well respected Flamenco guitarist, and Gioia Tama, a Flamenco Singer, Dancer and teacher. She has studied many different styles of dance while always keeping her main focus on Flamenco, and continuing to keep the spirit of her grandmother alive through teaching.
Corazon Performing Arts is a space dedicated to Gioia Tama Gianni.
This is an event for the whole family, which includes, young ones, elders, friends and community, ages 6 and up. No dance experience necessary. Not a drop off. Adults without children are welcome. Best for participants to know their left from right and be attentive to teachers.
